From March 6 to 11, the 5th Marbella International Russian Film Festival (MIRFF) was held in Spanish Marbella. Nine Russian films participated in the festival program. The jury was headed by the president of the Spanish Film Commission, member of the Spanish Academy of Television Carlos Rosado Cobian.

Nikolay Dostal's film «The Monk and the Demon» was awarded two prizes at once: Yuri Arabov became the best screenwriter, and the award for Best Male Role went to the lead actor Timofey Tribuntsev.<br />
