The film company "PROFIT" presented the disaster movie "Metro" at the 87th March Film Market. As part of the presentation of projects by "Nashe Kino", the film's distributor, the second teaser of the film was shown.
Igor Tolstunov's production company "PROFIT" has finished shooting the first Russian disaster movie "Metro".
For six months the creative team worked to create a genuine man-made disaster: real metro carriages and their models were wrecked, glass was shattered, wiring was short-circuited, lights went out again and again (in some places there were none at all) and the water kept rising. The human panic could not be stopped — emotions overflowed and at times went off the scale.
From October 9 to 25, filming of the disaster movie "Metro" was held in Samara. For almost two weeks the Samara metro played the role of the Moscow one. Filming took place at the under-construction Alabinskaya station, at the operating Moskovskaya station and at the depot.
Along with the director, cinematographers, production designers and stunt team, the city on the Volga was visited by the actors playing the leading roles: Sergei Puskepalis, Anatoly Bely, Alexey Bardukov, Ekaterina Shpitsa, Elena Panova, Anfisa Vistingauzen, as well as Sergei Sosnovsky, Alexander Naumov, Ivan Makarevich and others.
In early October, Igor Tolstunov's Production Company ("PROFIT") began the final stage of filming the disaster movie "Metro", based on the novel of the same name by Dmitry Safonov. These days work on the film is taking place in the Samara metro — that is where the scenes set in metro stations are being shot. The Samara underground thus stands in for the Moscow one, where the events described in the script unfold.
On September 8 a closed premiere of the action thriller "The Raider" took place at the Pushkinsky cinema. Audiences saw the first screen adaptation of the novel by Russia's most famous lawyer, TV host and Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights on his 45th birthday.
Among the first to see the film and congratulate the birthday boy were producers Renat Davletyarov, Alexander Oleinikov and Alexander Kotelevsky, TV host Yulia Bordovskikh, renowned figure skater Irina Slutskaya, singer Valeriya and producer Iosif Prigozhin, photo artist Ekaterina Rozhdestvenskaya, actress Irina Alferova, TV host Alexander Maslyakov Jr. and many others.
