On January 13, a ceremonial awarding ceremony for the national film criticism and film press award «White Elephant» for 2016 took place in Moscow.
Timofey Tribuntsev was honored with the award for Best Male Role, and Boris Kamorzin received the «White Elephant» for Best Supporting Role.
The award was established by the Guild of Film Scholars and Film Critics of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia in 1998. Determining the winners takes place in two stages. In the first round, a wide circle of film critics, film scholars, and film journalists is invited to name their favorites in 11 nominations. In the second round, the Expert Council determines the laureates by secret ballot.
