August 27 is traditionally celebrated as Russian Cinema Day. This year, within the framework of the Year of Russian Cinema, this holiday was held on a grand scale – at the initiative of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Department of Culture of the city of Moscow, the capital celebrated this holiday not only during the day, but also at night for the first time. From 12:00 until midnight, dozens of cinemas, libraries, museums, cultural centers, concert venues, and parks prepared premieres and film screenings for city dwellers of all ages, creative meetings with the main people of Russian cinema, concerts with music from beloved films, themed tours of Moscow, as well as master classes, lectures, and auditions for those who are just starting their journey in cinema.

At Krasnaya Presnya Park, within the framework of the «Night of Cinema» campaign, a meeting took place with director Nikolay Khomeriki and visual effects supervisor Boris Lutsyuk, who revealed the secrets of creating the disaster film «Icebreaker».
