The film company «Igor Tolstunov's Production Company» and the distribution company «Nashe Kino» have set the release date for the film «The Test».
The release is scheduled for September 18, 2014.
The film was first presented to the jury and participants of the XXV ORKF «Kinotavr» in June this year, and as a result of the competition received several awards: the main prize, the award for Best Cinematography and the prize of the Guild of Film Critics «Elephant».
«This is a film without words. Because... have you ever noticed that the closer a person is to you, the fewer words are needed to communicate? Communication through looks, gestures, actions. Sometimes silent communication says much more than idle chatter. I really wanted the audience to listen to the sounds of nature — the steppe, the wind, the birds... This is a film for those who love to watch, for those who remember that cinema is, above all, image. And it was invented as silent,» says the film's director Alexander Kott, known for such projects as «Brest Fortress», «The Firs-2» and others.
«After the premiere at Kinotavr, «The Test» attracted great interest from the professional audience. And we hope that it will generate no less interest among the mass audience. Of course, our project is not «Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles» or «Guardians of the Galaxy». We are counting on the viewer for whom what matters most is the meaning of what happens on the screen, the deep essence of the film,» comments general producer Igor Tolstunov.
