The film company «PROFIT» presented the disaster movie «METRO» at the 89th December Film Market in Moscow. As part of the presentation of projects by «Nashe Kino», the film's distributor, the plans for promoting the film on the internet were discussed in detail — with advertising banners, branded pages on the most popular websites, and distribution of the trailer and special video clips on popular video platforms and social networks.

On the eve of the film's premiere, several online promotional campaigns will take place — themed polls, contests and the posting of video material.

Large-scale promo campaigns have been developed with the video resources «Universitet TV» and «IVI.ru», which will provide wide audience reach.

A channel for the film has been created on Youtube.com, featuring behind-the-scenes clips, scenes that did not make the final cut, interviews with the actors and filmmakers, and promo videos.

Commercials will be placed at both federal and regional level on the most popular local TV channels in prime-time, with a high rating among the target audience.

Outdoor advertising will cover 25 cities in Russia.

As part of Nashe Kino's presentation, the film's trailer was shown. Its premiere will take place on December 6 on the largest film portal, Kinopoisk.

On December 1, at the «Formula Kino City» cinema (AFIMALL City shopping centre), a special screening of «METRO» took place for representatives of regional cinemas, who after the screening were able to talk to the film's general producer Igor Tolstunov, director Anton Megerdichev and actress Elena Panova. «It really hooked me! I loved the film!» shares Yulia Medvedeva (Orion cinema chain, Vladivostok). «The film holds your attention, it's interesting, you're constantly in an emotional state. You think the denouement is just around the corner, and then emotions go over the top again.»

The film «METRO» is released in wide distribution on January 24, 2013.
