On September 8 a closed premiere of the action thriller «The Raider» took place at the Pushkinsky cinema. Audiences saw the first screen adaptation of the novel by Russia's most famous lawyer, TV host and Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights on his 45th birthday.
Among the first to see the film and congratulate the birthday boy were producers Renat Davletyarov, Alexander Oleinikov and Alexander Kotelevsky, TV host Yulia Bordovskikh, renowned figure skater Irina Slutskaya, singer Valeriya and producer Iosif Prigozhin, photo artist Ekaterina Rozhdestvenskaya, actress Irina Alferova, TV host Alexander Maslyakov Jr. and many others.
The film's general producer Igor Tolstunov congratulated Pavel Astakhov on his birthday and handed the floor to the film's director Vsevolod Aravin, who in turn introduced the film's crew to the guests:
«Each of us poured a piece of our soul into this picture,» said the director. «We shot the film for a year and a half. And I hope that an hour and a half of viewing will give you pleasure, so that a year and a half of shooting will have been worth it.»
Besides the director, the film was also presented by actors Viktor Rakov, Sergei Ugryumov, Ekaterina Vilkova, Andrei Mezhulis, Roman Polyansky and others.
«The Raider» will be released in wide distribution on September 22.
